Brandon Rogers tried to kick it up a notch for the boys on American Idol tonight with “I Just Want To Celebrate.”

It was ok. Definitely funky and he added some of his schtick, but it was not as fun as it seems like the song should have been. I wasn’t celebrating.

Randy said that it was a little messed up at the end but that the song was solid and gave him a little rock edge. Paula said that it was phenomenal and that he was proving why he was there. Simon said that he was disappointed because Travis (uh, his name is Brandon) isn’t representing himself well in the competition but he is, in fact, one of the best singers, advising BRANDON to do as the girls have done and pick more memorable songs. Simon said that he was nervous for BRANDON this week as a result.

Brandon said that he just wanted people at home to have fun with him on that song. Listen up Brandon, it wasn’t that fun. . .
