I Just Want To Give Melinda Doolittle A Great Big Hug!
Melinda Doolittle makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. She is SOOOO cute.
She came out singing a funky rendition of “I’m A Woman.” It was sassy, funky, believable, and generally hot performance. I think it was a smart choice too given it’s inspirational message. It wasn’t the hugest ballad or anything like we expect on American Idol, but it was great. She had a lot of fun with it.
The audience loved it. Randy said that she was the hottest one of the night and that she is a consummate pro, adding that she is ready to go into the studio and make a record. Paula asked whether she ever thought that she would be up on the stage getting the adoration and applause that she is receiving, adding that she is phenomenal and lovable and brilliant and that every week she just can’t wait to see what she pulls out of her hat. Simon called her a “little tiger,” saying that he thought she was a pussycat. He said that it was very nice that she is enjoying every second that she is having on the show, saying no fear that she will be in the finals.
