Brandon Rogers Can’t Hurry Love on American Idol
But it’s too bad he couldn’t hurry the song either. It was already a pretty up tempo song, in fact, maybe it was too up tempo for Brandon. He forgot his words and it was pretty lack luster and rushed the whole way through, but at least he ended on a good note (so to speak).
Randy said he came out like he reverted to a background singer and that it was boring and not very interesting though the last few notes were good. Paula agreed but added that it is difficult to come out in a big hall and there are plenty of nerves but there is a lot that he does right. Simon said that it was a complete let down, totally predictable performance and arrangement, with terrible dancing and forgotten words. He topped all this off with no star quality, no originality, and came over as a background singer for a background singer, absolutely not good enough.
Too true. . and it’s too bad really because he could be a lot better, I think.
