Haley Scarnato chose to sing “Missing You” on American Idol this week. Let’s just start by saying that she came out looking absolutely stunning. She was definitely the prettiest she’s ever been on the show. . Actually, she was reminding me of Katharine McPhee looks wise.

She started of soft and sensitive, and I thought she was going to do ok. . Then, she got to the oohs and it kind of started getting lost and she looked like she was freaking out. Shortly thereafter she forgot the words. . When she pulled it together, she actually got off some really nice runs and notes. She also showed off her stunning legs. She knew she blew it.

Randy asked her how she was and she couldn’t speak. He said that she gave it a valiant effort but that she was nervous and pitchy. Paula of course started with saying that she looked great. She added that she forgot the words and her pitch was bad. . Simon actually said that he didn’t think it was that bad and gave her credit, emphasizing her name, and said that we will remember her because she had real presence up there and she looked like a star. . He said that he was very impressed with her presence on stage and that if she can just hold it together that she may do better than he originally thought. That was really nice of Simon, but I agree with him. There were moments that were great. I think she just got freaked. And, given the comments about her being forgettable from weeks prior, it’s understandable.
