Nina Shaw almost lost it on American Idol. Randy said “yes” and Simon said “no.” So, of course, Paula had to say yes and send her through. To Simon’s credit, Nina didn’t do a very good Whitney. . he called it cabaret and pageant-like. But she pulled out a jazzy ditty that let Paula and Randy send her through.
